Editorial: October 2015

As expected, a busy month in September, with the torrent of releases and news being reflected in both
the number of posts on this blog and in the amount of traffic we've attracted.

There were a record number of posts last month, I'd like to think we've got better at what we do, but maybe there was just more - and better - material being released over the past few weeks.

Our busiest months for posts prior to September were February and March this year, months that saw the number of posts pass 50 for the first time. Worth remembering that when we started in 2010, there were a total of 24 posts the entire year.

September 2015 also saw us quietly pass the 1400 posts mark. Not a bad achievement at all.

So October? Again, much to do. More significant releases, from established names such as Grand Corps Malade and Lou Doillon to newer acts like Feu! Chatterton and many more in what is a key time of year for the music industry.

There are of course a huge number of acts touring this month, but the Oui Love Tour that sees St Lo and Saycet in the UK towards the end of the month is particularly deserving of a mention.

I can be contacted on johnkilbrideAThotmailDOTcom, with the appropriate punctuation where you'd expect it to be. I'm always pleased to hear from record companies, PR companies and promoters, so do get in touch.

We're also on Twitter as @viveleroq or you can find me at @karnag

If you're around Facebook, remember to like the French Music Podcast UK page, for a regular dose of fresh vintage and French music.

Thanks again to the French Music Office in London and to the Institut francais in London for their help and encouragement.

Merci et à bientôt
